I recently bought a spiralizer, and a juicer, as well as bamboo utensils and glass straws. I got this all in a nice deal on RawfullyOrganic.com. It was expensive! But I honestly believe that juicing would be a good way for me to incorporate more vegetables and greens into my diet. I am also interested in raw noodles, so the spiralizer is also a plus since I love love love pasta ;)
Since my move, I have found grocery shopping a bit difficult. There are several grocery stores nearby, the nearest just a block and a half away. The only problem there is that there are only conventional products sold, but fortunately following the Clean 15 I have access to some fruits that don’t need to be organic. That seems to be the only plus - also the short distance! I like eating watermelons and melons, as well as kiwis and pineapples, and these all fall in the clean 15. The fact that it’s close by makes taking my food home easier, especially since watermelons and melons can get pretty heavy. It’s all about making things happen - if there’s a will, there’s a way. Buying my organic bananas means I have to bike a little further and it might be uncomfortable biking home with so much food sometimes - but I think it’s well worth it.
